The Waves Renaissance DeEsser Plug-In is a specialized sibilance attenuator developed to reduce undesirable high frequencies surgically, while preserving the sparkle and musicality of the source.

nice De-Esser for the money
Sep 18th 2011DeEsser's plugins are like compressor and EQ plugins, you can't have just one. This DeEsser is not my favorite (check out Massey DeEsser or Sonox Surpressor fo that) but its very easy to dial in and to get working. Some DeEsser can make a vocal sound dark but if you get this dialed in right you won't have that problem. Sidechain is actually to listen what the DeEsser is doing, auto plays the full signal. For the money this DeEsser is a good one add to the collection. If you need quick easy De-essing this does the job.
