The Waves CLA-2A Compressor / Limiter Plug-In is based on the legendary electro-optical tube compressor originally produced by Teletronix in the early 1960s. Featuring Mix control, Trim control, compressor and limiter modes, sidechain frequency filter and zero latency, the CLA-2A is great on guitar, bass, and vocals.

The Waves CLA-2A Compressor / Limiter Plug-In emulates the original’s smooth, frequency-dependent behaviors that have made it a favorite of engineers everywhere. Like the mid-‘60s classic, the Waves CLA-2A Compressor / Limiter Plug-In sounds great on guitars and bass, and really shines on vocals. Top it all off with Chris Lord-Alge’s personal presets, and seemingly limitless instantiations, and you’ve got a model that surpasses its inspiration.
