Power Requirements
All UAFX Pedals require an external power supply (sold separately). The Universal Audio UAFX Power Supply is a 9v DC/400mA wall-wart style isolated power supply. It is a universal power supply and includes multiple plug adapters (for the US, UK, EU, and AUS/NZ), so you are good to go with your UAFX Pedal, around the globe!

    I have both the Dream and the Ruby from UA. I tend to use the Ruby more than the Dream, perhaps because it feels like there are more different tones to be had from the Ruby than the Dream. The Dream is still very good sounding and I don't plan on getting rid of it soon. As with all UA pedals, I really wish this had more presets and MIDI.

What We Think

For me, the Dream is "The" distortion box. Whether you are doing slightly dirty, to overdriven, to high gain, the Dream gets those tones so right. The fat and warm nature of the Dream gives the perfect foundation for smoking distortion tones that soar with power. Throw in the reverb and vibrato, and you'll get some great lead guitars as well! Don't forget about the clean tones, as this pedal offers a lot of great clean tones. It's just the drive is where (for me) this pedal shines.
