What We Think

avatar

The Sphere LX microphone is awesome! Universal Audio did an excellent job emulating the tone and character of the greatest mics ever made. There are a ton of microphone models to select from. I love that with the Sphere plugins, you can record through the emulations inside the UA Console app, or apply them after recording in your DAW. Using the Sphere 180 software, you can also adjust helpful parameters like the polar pattern, proximity effect, and make off-axis corrections. Even if you’re not a fan of modeling microphones, I would suggest considering this for harmonies and doubles. Having the ability to switch microphone models and layer tones on vocal stacks can add nice separation and depth to your mix! Check out the Universal Audio Sphere LX – you won’t be disappointed!
