Circuit Design
The TF29 features a new old stock American-made 5654W vacuum tube, all-brass K67-style capsule, and a premium Swedish-made Lundahl output transformer. These components create a balanced frequency response and natural tonality, making the TF29 a trusty go-to choice.

Telefunken quality at a great price.
Nov 17th 2022For the price everything about this mic bundle is impressive: nice hard case, superb build quality on the mic and all accessories. The only reason I give this a 4* rating is the sound. And that of course is totally subjective. Telefunken markets it for natural bluegrass, folk, and Americana vocals. I don't really fit any of those genres, however, natural vocals is what I wanted. They also mention an extended low-end, and let me tell you, they aren't kidding. I actually don't have to perform a miracle with EQ, but it's not quite the sound I was looking for. I think it's one of those mic's that's going to have to fit just right between your voice and your pre or channel strip. I suspect either the TF47 or TF51 would work better for me. And yet, there's still something about it that I like. There's a vibe that perhaps one day I'll get polished just right and think, yes! that's the sound I've known was tucked away inside you Mr. Copperhead.
