The Stedman Proscreen XL allows unobstructed passage of high frequencies helping to maintain the important detail in vocal recordings. In addition to its sonic advantages, the Proscreen XL can be easily washed between sessions. Seriously think of the ick factor here! With the Proscreen XL in place, the recording signal levels can be maximized without the worry of clipping caused by bursts (extremely important with digital formats). The Proscreen XL features a 6" diameter metal screen with a 13" flexible gooseneck. The Proscreen is terminated with an adjustable clamp for easy adjustment and placement. The designs of the louvered openings allows the sound to pass through while diverting air and bursts in a downward direction away from the vocal track. Even close range intimate vocal tracks will not pass air bursts to the microphone. For optimal performance the Proscreen XL should be placed, with at a minimum of 2 inches, between the screen and the microphone. Make sure the vocalist must be on the Stedman branded side of the Proscreen XL to be effective.

The only pop filter to use
Jun 23rd 2010Forget the nylon mesh and go with a real metal filter that doesn't dull your high end and ruin your sound. This is the only pop filter to use.

Mar 5th 2009I've used a number of different pop screens throughout the years and this is, by far, the best. It's almost impossible to make the microphone pop if it is behind the screen. A bit pricey, but worth it and you can disinfect it too! Though it needs its own carrying case.
