The Soyuz Microphones 013 FET-M Microphones features a proprietary toroidal transformer and extremely low harmonic distortion, providing a rich and beautiful sound that is perfect for even the most delicate and dynamic sound sources.

The Soyuz Microphones S013 Microphone features the same capsule as their SU-011 tube microphone but with a FET pre-amp. With more than a year of research and development, Soyuz worked very hard to develop their own proprietary transformer, which gives the SU-013 a rich and beautiful sound. As with all their microphones, the 013 is 100% handmade in the Soyuz facility in Russia.

The Soyuz Microphones 013's classic internal transformer design creates a detailed sound that is robust in the lower frequencies, rich in the midrange, and silky smooth in the upper register.

    Wow! These are fantastic microphones that are different from many of the other pencil microphones out there. They add a unique color to your source and were exactly what I was looking for when recording my acoustic guitar!

    Like my review of the Soyuz SU-019, the customer service and communication from Front End Audio do not disappoint. The matched pair of SU-013 mics I ordered arrived in a timely manner and I quickly put them to work recording stereo acoustic guitar. For the first recording I used a Grace Design stereo bar to set up the mics in an X/Y pattern. It became quickly evident that these mics are definite keepers and provide a very true representation of what your acoustic should sound like when recording. The lows are tight, the midrange is punchy and the highs are crisp without being harsh. I've owned a lot of small condenser mics and other than the Soyuz SU-011 pair that I have, these are one of the best. These like my other Soyuz mics will be in my mic collection for a long time. If you are on the fence about these, don't hesitate to make your purchase and Front End Audio will take care of you.
