The Serpent Audio Splice MKII Compressor is a very flexible FET compressor, that provides the sound and function for for classic FET compressor circuits into one box - giving you unending control over shaping your audio.
The Serpent Audio Splice MKII Compressor brings FET compression to a whole new level, faithfully recreating the circuitry and sound of not one, but two classic FET compressors. The Splice MKII’s unique mode switching allows the user to switch between the classic Blackface or vintage Bluestripe circuits at the push of a button. In addition, the Splice MKII can also mix and match the two for entirely new sounds that can only be found with the Splice MKII (i.e. Blue Input Circuitry + Black Output Circuitry for “Blueface” mode or Black Input Circuitry + Blue Output Circuitry for “Blackstripe” mode.
The SPLICE MKII can be stereo linked with a second unit for stereo applications. To connect two SPLICE MKII units together, connect an unbalanced TRS cable on the back panel from “Out” on Unit A to the “In” of Unit B. Connect a second unbalanced TRS cable from “In” on Unit A to the “Out” of Unit B. Stereo mode is enabled by placing the “Link” toggle switch on both units to the Up “In” position.
