The Sennheiser e614 Supercardioid Condenser Microphone is a polarized condenser microphone for demanding instrument recordings, and performances that produce extended frequencies, high SPL handling and transient response. While drumset overhead miking was the first design priority, the Sennheiser e614 also works exceptionally well on percussion setups as well, fitting comfortably into tight setups. The Sennheiser e 614 can handle high SPLs and features medium sensitivity, which ensures reduced bleed from other instruments on stage. Because of its excellent acoustic properties, this mic is also ideal for home recording.

Sennheiser E614
Jun 13th 2010Wow, was I surprised. A sleeper, I think the best low priced small diaphragm condensers available. Do not even bother with the others. These just took over for my Large diaphragm condensers over the drum kit. Amazing.
