The Samson S-Patch Plus Fully Balanced 48-Point Patchbay provides a convenient, central point for all your audio connections. Featuring rugged construction with 48, 1/4" phone plugs on the front and 48, 1/4" phone plugs on the rear, the Samson S-Patch Plus provides reliable operation while maintaining a clean signal path. In addition, the Samson S-Patch Plus features high-quality miniature toggle switches that allow each channel to be configured for either normal, half-normal, or thru operation. And because these mini toggle switches are conveniently located on the front panel, you can instantly change each channel's configuration without removing the unit from the rack. The Samson S-Patch Plus eliminates the need to reach around the back of your mixer or rack to make connections, helping you work cleaner and faster.

This patchbay is amazing. I now have 10 of them, adding to my collection one or two at a time over the past 4 years, and they're perfect. I have never had any intermittent signal issues with these as I did the DBX, Neutriks, etc. These are solid, heavy, and completely professional. Don't buy anything else in this category. These are what you want.

I didn't expect this thing to be built like this. It weighs a ton, is very solid, doesn't flex as you move it around, and has solid metal connections. The witches on the front are the best, although it does make the scribble strip smaller and harder to write on. But, that is no biggie. The quality is top notch. Blown away.

I had two other patchbays before this one and this one looks and feels considerably better. The chassis is solid, the connectors are good and it has a professional look. The switches on the front really make it convenient, but the only downside is that they don't leave much space for labels. Not a very big deal considering everything else you get for the price.

This patch bay cannot be beat for the money. The ease of switching normalized state alone is worth the price of admission. The quality of the build is solid and all connections have remained so after 2 years of use. Very happy with this purchase. I own 2.

I've already ordered 3 from Front End , and I am willing to get a 4th ! Connectors feel great not loose at all , and the option to switch in the front panel is a must .

This thing is amazing. It gives you everything needed in a patchbay, and all balanced connections. I did much comparison shopping before i bought this, and am glad i did. The normal/half normal options are fantastic, and i've used it to split the signal from my soundcard. The soundcard only has 2 analog outs, but i split it with the samson, sending a stereo signal to both my monitors and an external mixer. Hard to beat for the money.

What We Think

The Samson S-Patch Plus is a really a slick patchbay! First of all, this is durable and the jacks all feel nice. Also, the 3 modes of operation are completely switchable from the front panel, no dis-assembly required; just rack it and forget it. In addition to ease of use, 1/4-inch TRS patch cables are less expensive and more readily available than TT cables which can be a benefit (TT / Bantam bays accomplish the same thing; only they can cram 96 patch points into the same space as where the 1/4-inch bay accomplishes 48-points). We've been using the S-Patch in our studio for a while now (over 10 years) with zero glitches and no audible interference with the sound. While it's probably not going to replace anyone's Audio Accessories patchbays of their Studio A anytime soon, the Samson S-Patch Plus is a reliable and strong cost-saving consideration for home studios and professional B-room or C-rooms where no-cost-spared budgets simply don't exist.
