The Purple Audio Cans II 500-Series Headphone Amp is a discrete Stereo Headphone Amp and Control Room Preamplifier Designed to work in standard 500-Series racks.
The Purple Audio Cans II 500-Series Headphone Amp features Discrete op-amp design and Purple Audio's famous build quality to bring a world class headphone amp and Control Room Preamplifier to the 500-Series power supply format. The Cans II is capable of driving the most power-hungry headphones with grace... and even aplomb. Goodness gracious! Cans II uses a KDJ3 opamp for mono and a KDJ5 opamps for output.For easy serviceability and tweaking, the Purple discrete opamps can be replaced with any standard discrete opamp or a DIP-8 IC. The output amp stages in the Cans are modular, but cannot be replaced with any other opamp.
