    Pauly Ton Pop Filter
    redge

This meets my need for a pop filter that looks good in photographs. The designer, Hilmar Pauly, appears to have had an appreciation for art nouveau/art deco, which comes through in the product. I received mine today and tried it on a Schoeps small diaphragm mike and a DPA 2028 handheld mike. Happy with the filter's performance on both. I plan to have the Pauly Ton and my mike on separate stands. Note that the base of the gooseneck does not attach via a clamp. It's a teardrop shape with a through-hole for up to a 5/8" stud/screw. The base is sandwiched between two components, for example between the top of a stand and the base of a mike clip. The "cone" is an alternative. Its base has a female thread (3/8" or 5/8") that id crewed onto a male stud/screw, and the cone's top has a male M4 stud/screw that screws into the outer edge of the Pauly Ton ring. The Pauly Ton comes with an instruction sheet that's a lot clearer than the Pauly Ton website about attachment of the components. This sheet should be posted to the website.

Pauly P120 Can't stop ALL the plosives
    D.B.

Used on a number of different mics but was still getting some plosives coming through, especially on a U47 clone with a very open headbasket. I was expecting a little better from a pop filter this expensive (and hyped up). Other than the odd plosive getting through, it does actually sound more transparent than other pop filters I've used.
