The MOTU M4 USB Audio Interface offers 4 inputs and 4 outputs, along with MIDI I/O, and bundled software, in a compact USB audio interface, that boosts similar specs to high end interfaces.

The MOTU M4 USB Audio Interface is equipped with the same ESS Sabre32 Ultra DAC Technology found in audio interfaces costing thousands, delivering an astonishing 120 dB Dynamic Range on its main outputs. ESS converters also drive the headphone output, which rivals dedicated headphone amplifiers costing hundreds. Ultra-clean preamp circuits produce a measured -129 dBu EIN on the mic inputs. Capture and monitor your audio with pristine clarity.

    Surprising little box.

    I needed something in a pinch and was low on fundage. Comparing boxes like this when this was new on the market, this one won out. I think it's pretty astounding. The pres might err on the side of being too clear but that's the way to do it if it's going to be off - if you consider that off. It's tameable that way. I am using this on a pro tools rig and it's a little fussy about that - or pro tools is fussy about the M4. I'm not sure who hates who but they will work. Just don't try changing sampling rates. I have to do an annoying song and dance every time I need to switch it up. I'm being punished for non AVID hardware, I suspect. All in all it's perfectly usable and much clearer than the DIGI002r I was coming from. Headphone power is more than substantial with Sony 7506. I'm going to once again need to get into something with more line ins but this saved my bacon and kept me working. Bravo!

    Great sounding unit that reveals sounds not heard in recordings I’ve listen to for 50 years! However I am working with Moe to support which is very helpful on artifact and stuttering issues. You’ll need to tweak or window system promote to suggestions which are non-destructive and easy for nine gigs. Still trying to get it to work properly with USB-C. I’ll update this review after the troubleshooting is concluded.

    So far so great! Rock solid interface with wonderful drivers. The feel and look are spot on. Oh and the sound! Guitar sounds sooooo much better than the Zoom F8 I was trying to use prior. I guess there is something to the Mic / Instrument / Line vs. Mic / Line!

    came a lil bit quicker than the original time so was very happy about that and it came and it works perfectly fine easy to install software and work the knobs it is a lil bit tight to press the button for the 48v phantom power but still worth the money and also the nothing wobbles like in the past reviews

    The product was understandably on backorder because of Covid 19. With this being the cased I was alerted that there would be a delay on my order. When supplies were issued I received the package in great condition. I have started using the interface and am loving it so far. Front End Audio provided great service and I am satisfied.
