The Maselec MLA-4 Compressor is designed to deliver precise and versatile dynamics processing for recording, mixing, and mastering engineers in home, project, and commercial studios.
Two adjustable crossover filters split the input signal into three bands, which can be independently compressed or expanded with per-band controls for threshold, ratio, attack, release, and make-up gain.
The sidechains can remain separate or be linked with one of four linking options. Additionally, a selectable sidechain boost offers increased compression or expansion for high frequencies. Any single band or all bands may be sent to the outputs for flexible monitoring, while 16-segment LED meters always display gain change for the three bands. As with the per-band controls, the master input, output, and threshold knobs are stepped for easy recall. XLR 3-pin inputs and outputs ensure standardized connectivity with balanced line-level devices.
