The Manley Variable MU Retube Kit is a complete retube kit for the Manley Variable MU Compressor.
The Manley Variable Mu Complete Retube Kit covers current versions of the Manley Variable Mu and Manley Mastering Variable Mu. These kits are for Variable Mu units with serial numbers MSLC#243 and up.
If your unit has the T-BAR MOD, please be sure to select that option ibefore adding to your shopping cart. We will adjust the order with Manley to ensure that you get 4 x 6BA6 valves in place of the 2 x 5670 tubes used by the stock version. This way we can ensure that you receive everything you need to fully retube your Variable Mu! Be aware that you will need to be able to do some calibration of the 6BA6 tubes when replacing them in the T-BAR MOD.

- 2 pcs 5670 (replaced with 4 x 6BA6 tubes for T-BAR Mod option)

- 2 pcs 5687 (7044 equivalent)
Special Note
These Manley Variable Mu Complete Retube Kits are NOT compatible with Manley Variable Mu units made before 1996 production. You will need to contact Manley's service department, directly for help with this.

Backup is Good
Oct 8th 2014After more than 6000 hours, my Vari-Mu's performance started flagging. It didn't die all at once, but it was exhibiting indications of tube failure. Through a miscommunication, Manley sent me the retube kit for the old Vari-Mu, however they rectified the situation by going far beyond what was necessary (especially since the mistake wasn't their fault to begin with). Dealing with Manley is like dealing with Front End Audio, a quality experience and care are part of the transaction.
