The IGS Rubber Bands 500-Series Equalizer is a mono passive equalizer absurdly reduced in size. A Pultec style EQ designed for your 500-Series rack, is equipped with transformer balancing on inputs and outputs as well as a discrete driver circuit.
The IGS Rubber Bands 500-Series Equalizer is a mono passive equalizer, a cure for all digital evils. The inputs and outputs are transformer balanced. Of course, the entire filtering section is passive and mirrors analogue equalizers from the 60s. There is separate frequency selector for low boost/cut sections. And you get the true bypass switch as a bonus! The IGS Rubber Bands 500-Series Equalizer is designed to be installed into an API™ 500 Series compatible rack and cannot function stand alone, requiring the power source supplied by the rack system. The current consumption of the IGS Rubber Bands 500-Series Equalizer is rated at 55 miliamperes. Please check with the rack manufacturer that the design can meet this rating.

Better than budget lines
Jul 4th 2022I'd been using a Warm Audio Pultec clone for a few years, and while it was ok, it left me wanting more. I bought this unit from IGS, and it's excatly what I was missing from the Warm Audio. It's punchier, stronger, more focused. I was worried about solid-state vs tube, but the solid state IGS is only an improvement. Mine is in black, which I prefer over the green pictured in the listing.
