The Heil HH-1 Drum Microphone Mount was designed for the Heil PR-28. However, it can work well for any style of drum microphone for either toms or for even snare drum.
The Heil HH-1 drum mic mount is, in part, as a result of its utility in mounting microphones to drums securely. The Heil HH-1 offers several options to mount, including via the rim, or to the mounting hoops of the drums. The fully adjustable HH-1 was developed with input from jazz drummer and producer, Hunter Herman (hence the HH-1 designation). Like most drummers, Mr. Herman had (in the past), been forced to use methods of mounting drum mics that left him wanting better solutions. Like all producers, he demands mic placement that best captures drum sounds. Better then your average mic mount

A must for almost anything!
May 13th 2011I got those two weeks ago and hooked them up immediately to recocrd a rehearsal with my band. First reaction is that the drum looked trigged... tight and great low end information on the toms the snare was punchy and the pr-48 filled the low end without eq at all. A little bit of 4khz boost got me exactly the kick sound I needed for our metal stuff. The fourth handy mic went on a guitar cab and it's nice rise in the upper-mid gave the presence needed for the guitar to cut through, preserving detailled midrange and a surprisigly thunderous low end for a mic of this size. This kit (as well as all Heil mics) are a must for any recording studio or live setup.
