    Great usb recording interface
    Anonymous

With the direct monitor button I can hear the audio going in through the mic without any delay before it goes into the pc. This is a must when recording vocals. Most audio interfaces sold do not have this option. I had to sell a previous interface after trying this one out. Also with the low latency I can add effects through the pc and still not be thrown off by delay as it goes through the pc and back to the headphones.

    great box--crazy registration
    Jon Fitz

No complaints about the box. The software registration is like something out of a sitcom.

Great for travel or 2nd laptop
    Balisani

The Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 is my 4th audio interface. I've already got a Fireface 800 and a Soundscape (iBox8 XLR) for two desktops and a (v1) Duet for my old MacBookPro that I've now retired (i.e., it stays in the studio when I travel). I was looking for a small, portable USB interface with as good, or better, Mic Preamps that was not as expensive as the Duet v2. This little interface fits the bill on all counts. It's a little bulky (like a fat paperback novel) but fits ok in my carry-on. It's super simple to install (load the disc to install the drivers) and operate. I use Logic Pro 9 and DSP-Quattro as my DAW and Editor, and I've had no issues with stability (or use). The sound quality is subjectively good, and by that I mean I would have howled to the moon had I had this interface in the 90s. Now, most of us expect a lot of bang for our buck, and usually get it, though I would venture to say this interface surpassed my expectations. Long term keeper.
