The Coles 4069 XLR Adapter is designed to be used with the Coles 4038 Ribbon Microphone and allows you to adapt the microphone to a standard XLR output.

The Coles 4069 XLR Adapter allows the Coles 4038 Microphone to adapt to a standard XLR (male) output. It has three pins; Pin 1 screen, Pin 2 positive and Pin 3 negative. When you want to mount the microphone on a stereo mounting bar or use it with elastic mounting, the Coles 4069 XLR Adapter is used.

    This hard to find, obscure part was just what I needed to finish a special mic restoration. Communication and shipping from Front End Audio was prompt and super-professional. These guys are top shelf! And now I have a working STC 4033 ribbon mic!

    Works much better than the competing adapters. I bought a similar adapter not so long ago (the brass looking one which I believe may be slightly cheaper?), and unfortunately due to the adapter's design, you cant actually fit the microphone into a shock mount. That was an expensive mistake. This one works a treat though. Thanks a bunch.
