The Spark is a very cool looking mic and comes with nice accessories and good instructions on mic techniques. I didn't use the wind screen as I just used it to record sax. The shockmount has a nice screw mechanism to secure it, however once tightened the mic freely rotates. I guess this is good for turning it to the sound source but to me it moves a little to freely and would be afraid it were to move during recording, especially if it was tilted or angled. The sound quality is brighter than advertised, but is very smooth in the high end and not shrill at all. It is a very quiet mic, but doesn't seem to give you a big sound. It's a great deal with everything included, but If you can pass on the mic looks and don't want or need the accessories, I'd say go with an AT2020 or get a pair for the same price as the Spark.

This mic has really suprised me with the bang for the buck. For the entry line for Blue it sounds and performs like a $1000 mic. Used for vocals and acoustic guitar. So glad I added this to the line up.
