Universal Audio Enigmatic '82 Overdrive Special Amp Pedal

Universal Audio Enigmatic '82 Overdrive Special Amp Pedal is now released, expanding their offerings of amp emulation, in their growing line of UAFX pedals. This time, they draw inspiration from a “D-Style” '82 Overdrive Special Amp. The time we got to spend with it proved to be impressive. The Enigmatic is a tweakers paradise, and can give you everything from gritty blues, to 1970's AC/DC, 1980's Thrash, and 1990's Doom/Sludge/Death Metal tones.

When you unlock all it's power via the UAFX App (with your smart phone or tablet), you get to dive deep into the pedal. You can choose from 4 preamps, 6 cabs, two stacks, adjust EQ, FET trim, Filter Cap, Preamp Boost, and other parameters that let you shape tone to your hearts content. All these features makes the Enigmatic a highly flexible pedal. One that we found is among the best out there. The playability, and tone of this pedal makes it very usable in the studio, recording directly into an interface, as well as on the stage – going directly into front of house. Being that this pedal is more attainable to a wider audience than many premium emulators and profilers, yet performs on a premium level – the UA Enigmatic is a winner.
