The New Daking Mic Pre II Microphone Preamp - and refreshed look
By Front End Audio on Jun 4th 2018
Daking has just announced a new addition to their line up, with the Daking Mic Pre II Microphone Preamp. The Mic Pre II combines two of their celebrated Mic Pre One (stand-alone single channel preamps) into a sleek 1U rack unit. Featuring Jensen input transformers, instrument Dis, and 70dB of gain (perfect for dynamics and ribbon mics), the Mic Pre II is sure to be a versatile studio pre β for stereo applications on a wide variety of sources. Of course it would also be great for tracking a single source, or two different sources simultaneously.
One of the first things you might notice about the Mic Pre II, is it's new and refreshed look. While it has a straight forward design, it brings a refined look to the Daking line β while maintaining the signature Daking green. Furthermore, this new look has also been extended to other Daking pieces, such as the: Mic Pre IV, MicPre/EQ, and FET II βLEβ Compressor.
Being a long time user and fan of Daking gear, seeing the new two channel Mic Pre II, it an exciting addition.
