Neumann KH 80 DSP Studio Monitor
By Front End Audio on Feb 1st 2017
New at Namm. The Neumann KH 80 DSP Studio Monitor is Neumann’s first DSP Studio Monitor. As a result, this monitor features greater consistency, improved accuracy and more flexibility than its analog counterparts.
The Neumann KH 80 DSP two-way (4” + 1”) active bi-amplified monitor features a DSP engine with network control, a Mathematically Modeled Dispersion Waveguide (MMD), an analogue input and an extensive range of mounting hardware. A standard IP network connection allows the monitoring system to be controlled using Neumann.Control which runs on a PC/Mac computer or Android/iOS tablet. This allows the loudspeaker to be used in diverse acoustical conditions, with any source equipment and in a wide variety of physical locations. The KH 80 represents the latest in acoustic and electronic simulation and measurement technologies to ensure the most accurate sound reproduction possible.
The Neumann KH 80 DSP Studio Monitor is designed for use as a near-field monitor, as a front loudspeaker in a mid-sized multi-channel system, or as a rear loudspeaker in a larger multi-channel system. It can be used in music, broadcast centers, OB vans, and post production studios for tracking, mixing, and mastering. Due to its small size, it is also well-suited for desktop applications and domestic environments.
The Neumann KH 80 is expect to start shipping in February but Front End Audio is taking pre-orders now.
