Introducing the FLEA Microphones ELA M 251 Tube Microphone

Coinciding with their 20th anniversary, FLEA Microphones has just announced the release of their long-awaited FLEA Microphones ELA M 251 Tube Microphone – an identical recreation of the original and legendary Telefunken ELA M 251. The Flea 251 is packed with a Tim Cambell CT12 capsule, carefully selected 6072A tube and an identical clone of the T14/I transformer.

Sparing no detail, the CT12 capsule has been crafted to exacting specifications of the edge-terminated, gold-plated CK12 capsule found in the original ELA M 251. The wiring is based on the last upgrade made by Andreas Grosse, and all connecting parts, pins and terminals are gold-plated – all of which helps ensure this modern classic has the same sound with less noise than the original.
