API joins the guitar pedal game

API has recently announced two new guitar pedals. This coming along side the announcement of the new “API Select” line of outboard gear.

When you think of API, you do not think of guitar pedals, you think of industry standard outboard gear and consoles that helped define the American Sound. So when you hear they have announced two new guitar pedals (their first offerings in this realm), you get curious. Seeing that they are the TranZformer CMP Compressor pedal, and TranZformer GTR Equalizer pedal makes a ton of sense. When it comes to Eqs and Comps, there is no doubt that API knows their stuff. They has been an industry leader for a very long time, and make some of the best and most loved comps and Eqs out there. I mean, who hasn't used the 550B and 525 on guitars. So now having dedicated pedals that bring the power and sound of API to your rig........ that is a very cool offering.
