Inputs
As your studio grows it becomes harder to control. Nero enables you to centralize, connect and control all your monitoring needs from your desktop using Nero’s array of stereo inputs.
Outputs
Reference your mixes on up to three sets of speakers, independently set and match volume for all speakers and audition and assign your sub to any monitor path. Nero also provides one dedicated monitor grade headphone amp and three foldback grade headphone amps, making sure you’re ready to take on the loudest of sessions with crystal clear headphone mixes.
Assignable Sub
Easily assign a sub to activate when switching to a monitor path of choice but maintain the ability to switch it on and off without losing your saved preset. Nero also lets you audition the sub on any alternative set of speakers without forcing you to assign it permanently.
Smart Touchpoints
Smart Touchpoints enable you to customize your workflow on the fly. Easily route and configure Nero’s outputs and monitor controls to create monitoring combinations that suit your needs. Simply hold down a Smart Touchpoint to put it into setup mode, select your routing options and press it again to save.
Precision Matched Stereo Volume Control
Nero perfectly matches the volume of the left and right channels of your stereo signal using Audient’s custom Precision Matched Attenuation Technology. Unlike other monitor controllers, this prevents any deviation in volume between your left and right monitors or unbalancing of your stereo image, enabling you to monitor accurately and mix with confidence.
Console Style Monitor Control
Utilizing Audient’s vast experience in implementing monitor control in both recording consoles and desktop controllers, Nero features David Dearden designed circuitry and a range of flexible monitor controls including dedicated talkback, cut & dim along with polarity, mono, speaker select and cue mix monitoring.

Solid Monitor Controller
Feb 14th 2024Great controller with a lot of useful options. It doesn't color the sound of mixes and allows for 3 sets of speakers to be tested, which is rare these days for monitor controllers(most have 2 only). The headphone amps are powerful and setting up mixes and cues is quite straightforward. All in all, a nice addition to any studio.

Truth be told... NERO is EXCELLENT....
Mar 11th 2021I just bought the Nero from Front End Audio. Same old story... I'm replacing my old Presonus Cental Station (17 years old). I've never had any major problems with it. I will say, it's definitely a workhorse. HOWEVER, I wanted BETTER, and something slightly updated as well. Originally, I impulse-purchased a "very popular" and expensive rack-mount monitor controller from another retailer. Oh yeah, the unit also has analog summing built in :-) hint hint.... Shockingly enough, I hated it. So many odd and quirky things going on inside that unit. It makes absolutely no sense that they can even charge that kind of money for it. Truthfully, it felt like junk! Sounded good but felt like junk. So.... I RETURNED IT! Now I figured that I would go back to Front End Audio instead; and purchase something else (like I normally would have). I read some good reviews on the Nero, so I went for it. Well I'll say, this thing sounds EXCELLENT! Like, JUST AS GOOD (OR BETTER) than "that" other controller that I tried first. And much better in other ways, aside from sound. Oh yeah, and it's basically a fraction of the price. Haha. COME ON MAN, REALLY!!!??? Sooooooo... If you're in need of a monitor controller, and you have the desk space available for a desktop unit, then you should TOTALLY give this thing a try (at the least)! You won't be disappointed. It's made VERY well. It "feels" great and sounds superb!!!! It's just smooth in every way! Also, thank you Shane from Front End. I appreciate your upfront honesty, and I appreciate you guys getting the unit out the same day for me. Oh yeah, and the hookup on the Mogami's. I appreciate you always working with me! - Dean
