Because they’re models, you not only get a wide range of true pianos, Arturia has been able to give you controls over different components and characteristics that have never been accessible before. You can play pianos that are the pinnacle of realism or get as radical as you want with unconventional sounds. The versatile Arturia Piano V3 is an indispensable foundational instrument for any keyboardist, writer or producer in any style of music.
The King of All Keyboard Instruments is Now in V Collection
Now you can finally get the ultra-authentic sound, feel and behavior of a real piano with the same convenience as the rest of your V Collection. Still holding its own after centuries, the piano is the undisputed king of keyboard instruments. The Arturia Piano V3 brings you all the expressive qualities you love that got you into playing piano in the first place. Instead of using stacks of samples, Arturia modeled nine different awesome pianos at the granular level of their physical qualities to deliver the realism you demand—and across a wide choice of piano flavors to fit in any song or mix. With its sound, playability and flexibility, the Arturia Piano V3 is an indispensable instrument for all occasions.
Modeling Technology Delivers Unparalleled Realism
Sampling is great when you want snapshots of sounds. When you want realism with every nuance you play, modeling is the best tool for the job. The standard approach to software piano emulations is to sample as many individual notes and velocities of an instrument as possible. The problem is that pianos are extremely complex with lots of components that interact, such as the way the vibrating strings interact with each other when you depress the damper pedal. That’s why Arturia choses the approach of modeling instead. After all, Arturia has been modeling a growing lineup of authentic keyboards to critical acclaim for over 15 years. Arturia has painstakingly modeled all of the components, materials and the physics of the way they interact, as well as rooms, mic placements and more. Pianos are a study in craftsmanship, and so is the Arturia Piano V3. When you want the authentic sound and feel of a piano, you want the Arturia Piano V3.
Choose From Legendary Pianos
If you could have the sound of any piano you wanted… oh, wait… now you do! There are as many different sonic personalities as there are pianos. No two are alike, even the same model from the same manufacturer. Different songs and different tracks also demand specific qualities. That’s why Arturia Piano V3 gives you a total of nine different instruments spanning both grands and uprights. Just pick the preset that best serves you in the moment and you’re good to go. These models are totally malleable as well, letting go far beyond that to modify the different components that make up each instrument’s signature sound—everything from slight tweaks to extreme treatments. The possibilities are endless. The Arturia Piano V3 gives you complete control over the character of your pianos for the ultimate in creative options.
Instant Piano Tech
The Arturia Piano V3’s nine piano models are just a starting point. A click of a mouse opens the cabinet to reveal all the controls to make each uniquely yours. Shift the string tension to try A-432 tuning. Dial in just the right hammer hardness, position and dynamics to change your favorite piano’s character into anything from mellow to brittle, so it sits in your mixes just right. Strech a grand piano tuning to get the inharmonicity characteristic of uprights. Detune the unison strings in the middle and upper registers to conjure a neglected saloon piano. You can even change characteristics like soundboard resonance, hammer noise and lid position. Of course, you can shape the velocity curve to match your controller of choice so the Arturia Piano V3 responds to your touch just the way you like it. For the full experience, play Arturia Piano V3 with Arturia's KeyLab 88 weighted action controller. With traditional pianos, it would take tons of hours and cash to make the custom adjustments that Arturia Piano V3 lets you pull off in a heartbeat.
Environmentally Friendly
As if being able to change the physical characteristics of your pianos isn’t enough, Arturia Piano V3 also let’s you control the instrument’s environment and more to dramatically color your sound.
Change the Environment too
The Arturia Piano V3 let’s you shape more than just the instrument. You can also change the room and recording setup to dramatically refine both spatial and timbral qualities to your taste. A given piano can sound very different depending on its environment, miking and processing. That’s why Arturia has factored all those elements into the Arturia Piano V3 models as well. With the simple click of the mouse, you can move any piano into a different type of room, select various mic positions, and shape the tonality with built-in EQ. Whether you stick with presets or explore deeper environmental options, the Arturia Piano V3 lets you easily get just the spacious qualities you’re looking for—no engineering degree required.
Preset Browser
The Arturia's redesigned preset browser lets you quickly find just the sound you’re looking for. Search by name or simply select the appropriate tags to dial in on the exact sonic character you’re looking for. You can mark and recall your own favorites, enter comments, and set up playlists. There’s never been a more intuitive way to manage your library of designer and personal presets.
Resizable GUI
The user interfaces for all your Arturia instruments are now resizable, making it easy to work with any High Resolution screen, UHD or Retina. You can decide whether you want to fill the screen with awesome graphic reproductions of classic instrument goodness, scale the window down when you’re working in a DAW and screen real estate is at a premium, or even zoom for detailed work.
Arturia Software Center
ASC is the central software that elegantly manages all your Arturia software licenses. It activates your licenses and synchronizes them across multiple devices (you get five instances with each instrument license). ASC also notifies you of updates and downloads them. You can even easily learn about new products, download demos versions and purchase the full products. Simple.
