APEX 435B Microphone.
Aug 16th 2020Not bad for its price point. The sound is okay but needs some eq to have clarity. I Keep it handy as an emergency microphone.. Most impressive is that this microphone comes in a plastic carrying case (not a cheap pouch). Many microphones costing 2-3x as much don't even give you that!

Shockingly Good Sound for a Low Price
Mar 21st 2011I bought the Apex SP-1 Package cause I needed an immediate replacement for stolen SDC, the 435 was icing on the cake for a cost effective solution. It sounded very pleasant on classical guitar, worked ok in vocals, an interesting 2nd mic for guitar and bass cabs, and great on toms, just be sure to engage the low cut switch, hidden inside the body. I cannot say anything bad about the mic for the price it costs, and I recommend it to any entry recording artists and to all those in the PRO world as and economical multi purpose and percussion mic. The signal chain was 435 to a GAP73 to DBX163x or RNC into the Presonus FirePod.
