The Solid State Logic 500-Series Stereo Buss Compressor offers the legendary sound of the SSL Stereo Bus Compressor in 500 format rack. It brings the original SSL Bus Comp sound to this popular low cost rack format. Often imitated but never equaled, the centre section compressor from the 1980's G-Series analogue console is an audio production legend. To this day it remains a key element of the SSL sound and has featured on countless classic recordings. The availability of the SSL Stereo Bus Compressor in a module for the 500 format makes this essential audio production tool available to users of the popular API 500 format modular rack platform.

    Sounds amazing on my mix buss and it's so easy to get a great sound from it. I also tried it on vocals and acoustic (not typical) but still liked the vibe. Very cool compressor.

    As a UAD SSL Bus Comp user for many years, it is refreshing to own the actual product. Sure the plugin sounds great, but the real thing definitely has a three dimensional quality to it. It makes the plugin sound like a flat copy of the real thing. A+ SSL.
