The MXL Genesis HE Heritage Edition Tube Microphone is a masterfully engineered tube microphone that cuts beautifully through any mix with spectacular detail and warmth.

By combining a large 32mm gold sputtered diaphragm with state of the art tube circuity the Genesis captures all the richness of critical vocal and instrument recordings. The lush vintage tone allows the vocals to sit perfectly above other tracks, with little or no EQ needed, in part due to the premium Mullard 12AT7 tube. Beautifully matched silver and gold accessories include an aluminum flight case, metal pop filter, heavy duty shock mount, Mogami tube and XLR mic cables and microfiber cleaning cloth. This stunning custom package sets the "Gold Standard" for recording mics from MXL.

    Without getting into much detail, this mic is as good as ANY pro mic & BETTER than MANY!!! I own an AKG C414 XLS & the Genesis BLOWS it away!!! I also do a lot of work with a colleagues U87 & the Genesis sounds JUST as good on many voices & better on some!!! The Genesis sounds RIGHT!!! NO need to eq or compress. It sounds THICK & AIRY. No sibilince or boominess. Also, it's VERY well built, you get MANY great accessories & it looks STUNNING!!! I will say that I ONLY tested it on vocals. Finally, I'd like to thank the staff here at Front End Audio. These Guys Are VERY knowledgeable, responsive & easy going. BTW, to whom it may concern, Ryan Should Get A HEFTY Raise!!!
